Hi all

Am a fairly new domainer looking for some candid advice. Am being offered a domain (can't mention name as it will up my bid!) that gets 20k exact searches per month, .co.uk, has one hyphen and in the financial sector. Am being offered for mid £XXXX - what would a domain of this type usually go for?

Thx

It's impossible to appraise a domain without knowing what it is.

You can get a bit of an idea from seeing what previous domains have sold for at:
http://domainprices.co.uk/Domain_Sales_Prices.php

I would also add that the price depends a lot on why you are buying it - for instance, you may be willing to pay more if you have plans to develop the domain rather than trying to resell it.

My personal preference would be to avoid hyphenated domain names - particularly if you are willing to pay mid £XXXX I would think for that price you could get something decent without a hypen.
