My name is Markus Jalmerot (MJ.me.uk (http://www.mj.me.uk), the short version) and I run quite a few websites and have followed what's going on with domain names for almost a decade now.

I started with drop catching in Sweden and caught quite a few nice domains, such as ft.se and dietist (dietitian). A friend introduced me to .SE domains and I got stuck..

However, since a while ago I tend to focus on .UK domains. You can find me blogging about SEO news (http://www.seospecialist.co.uk/news/), analyzing domain names (http://www.affiliatespecialist.co.uk/news/) and soon doing research about New York (NY.co.uk, launching next week!).

My company owns a few 100 .UK domains. I'm trying to focus on quality over quantity, but there are of course a few ones not that great. Some of my own domain inventory include LondonOffices.co.uk, LondonCars.co.uk, SEOSpecialists.co.uk (planning a different site here), SEOExperts.co.uk (launching in 2 weeks). It might take a few months or several years before I develop newly acquired domain names. The good thing with having a diversified domain portfolio is that I can always pick and choose from my own inventory. All you need to get started with a new business is a unique idea, a good domain name and some people to help you with web design and development.

If you want to learn more about how to create a great website, visit How to be Found (http://www.howtobefound.co.uk/). It's one of my latest sites which try to explain the importance of choosing the right domain name for your online ventures and how to market yourself online.

Finally, I do offer advanced domain name valuations together with two colleagues through MissDomain (http://www.missdomain.com/index.php?page=appraisal), a Scandinavian market place. But if you send me a PM in UK Domain Forum, I'd be happy to give you a short, free domain valuation for one domain only.

I've known Markus for a good while. Simon has actually met him personally, but that pleasure awaits me. Welcome to the forum Markus.

Welcome to the forum. I like your How To Be Found site, some nice content there.

FYI on http://www.seospecialist.co.uk/services/, you've spelt Comprehensive wrongly twice.

atlasatlas: You're all too kind.
aZooZa: Dale, it would be nice to meet you. Let me know if you're in UK anytime soon.
accelerator: Thanks for the heads-up. I'll try to fix it tomorrow.
