View Full Version : PRSS Lookups
Ah, that feels good to pop the cherry of this subforum and be 'her' first :p
I need to get out more I think
I have asked before for prss checks from peops and see others asking and seems not many people have access or can be bothered to do
does anyone mind doing this as wouldnt mind a look up for one tag
It's something I often need and am sure others do too
I reckon if somone offers service at £10 a pop could make some serious beertokens from it
so what you waiting for?
pm me ....... please :)

LOL - I don't think Nom would be too impressed with a formal PRSS reseller :D
We've never subscribed to PRSS actually.

You can't use PRSS to search by TAG, you can only narrow down searches of at least 3 characters in either the DOMAIN NAME and/or the REGISTRANT fields by TAG.
Eg, you can't PRSS all domains on the tag HANCO, but you can PRSS domains registered to Ty Hancocks and then optionally reduce that set to show just the ones on the HANCO TAG.
The result is basically that TAG holders can hold domains in their Nom account that are registered in other names that PRSS searches will never find.
Hope that makes sense?
Ty
ah yes, didn't think of that Dale lol
they are charging for it (a lot from what I hear, £450) and don't want reseller
@ Ty
thanks very much bud for explanation
yep, so search by name
and can keep other accounts for private domains in nom account that wont be in same name
but a prss search will show up for main search name
cool, cheers

Here (http://www.nominet.org.uk/other/prss/contract/)are the T&Cs for the PRSS. I remember Nominet mooting the idea of offering an API to access the PRSS but I cannot remember if one was ever made available. Does anyone know if one was?
No idea on that front - as a few on here know I am happy to do the odd one for people if they want! :)
